About

Building a Colorado for everyone

Regardless of age, company lifecycle, geography, culture or economics.

The problem we set out to solve

Colorado has an enormous number of organizations ready to help people build things: funders, programs, communities, events, universities, service providers, and economic and workforce development organizations. But they're scattered across hundreds of websites, and hard to find unless you already know where to look.

Colorado Startup Resources makes that ecosystem findable in one place. Today it covers 2,200+ resources across 10 categories, organized by Colorado's 14 state-designated regions and 64 counties, plus statewide and national resources.

Not just for startups

People don't wake up thinking "I need an economic development organization." They think: I need funding. I need a place to work. I need a mentor. I need customers. I'm a rural entrepreneur and don't know what's available.

So while "startup" is in our name, this directory is for anyone trying to make something happen: a company, a nonprofit, a cooperative, a creative practice, a community project, or a new career.

A project of Humans In Common

What we have in common

Colorado Startup Resources is the first project of Humans In Common, a Colorado organization built on a simple idea: rather than defining people by their industry, organization or stage, start with what we share.

Resources, knowledge, relationships, challenges and aspirations in common. And the belief that an ecosystem should make connections and resources more accessible to everyone, not extract value from people and their networks.

Find what you need. Share what you know. Build what's next.
