Empower Media Exchange (EMX) is a Colorado-based nonprofit media organization building stronger local information infrastructure through journalism, media education, workforce development and intergenerational collaboration.
We bring together students, emerging professionals, experienced media practitioners, community members and organizational leaders to exchange knowledge, strengthen communication skills and expand access to credible, relevant information.
Our work includes community-centered journalism, multimedia production, media literacy education, youth and early-career training, mentorship, strategic communications and participatory storytelling. We create pathways for people to develop practical media skills, contribute to public conversations and help shape the stories told about their communities.
